Ice maker didn't work had to fix it my self

Had service guy over 5 times had 4 defective doors and the forgot gasket last time.

We just had this refrigerator installed 2 days ago, and it is beautiful! The water sensor feature is convenient, and the interior is spacious and well-designed. What I would change: 1. add backlight to control panel 2. split the bottom drawer 3. fix the water drip and flying ice problems 4. less noise 5. display actual temperature.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Slightly disappointed

Had this placed in our new home. My next home I will go with a different brand of fridge. Yes it's stainless still but it has to stay consistently clean or you will see how the hand prints etc. It is big but doesn't seem all that spacious in the fridge. The freezer is ok. Not a fan of the ice and water dispenser. Even with a tall mug I still have to raise my mug so I am not getting ice all over the floor. Like it has to be touching the top. And that's on cubed ice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor design of freezer compartment

The freezer compartment and drawer are extremely difficult to open and close. Several times the compartment was not totally closed and frost developed inside the freezer

I expected more from GE. Knew ice compartment would be small because of design, but this small?! More importantly, the refrigerator makes a lot of noise. With all new appliances in the kitchen, this refrigerator makes more noise than the dishwasher!

The freezer on the bottom rather than the top or side by side is wonderful. And the fresh food area has so many adjustments to accommodate the different foods I put in my fridge, I don’t know how I managed without it.

This was left in a home I purchased 7/2017 and sure it was purchased 2015. Glad to own this GE appliance now as it's a first for me from this company. It was not hard to figure out once I looked up some settings. The manual is well written, easy to understand and has lots of pictures. Keeps meats and cheese and vegetables extremely well so I am able to keep foods longer. A little hard to get the freezer draws out but once I opened the top doors, one of the drawers was easier to remove. Shelves and bins are nice and sturdy and feel will last the usual. Only gripe is the ice machine is REALLY loud. Thought I had ghosts then realized it was ice making noise.
I would recommend this to a friend!
