The water/ice maker is a pretty slow operation. The water takes a long time to come out as does the ice. Very little room for condiments
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pretty but fragil

BEAUTIFUL! Doesn't show fingerprints! Cool design but the inside shelves are soooooo fragile. One of the shelves cracked the first time I put a gallon of milk on it. There is room on the door to put 2 gallons of milk but I am pretty sure that is a dangerous place to put milk because when you open the door constantly the milk is exposed to temperature fluctuations. On the door with the icemaker there are tiny shelves to house stuff--not sure what you are supposed to house there however because they are so thin nothing will fit. Wasted space. The freezer shelving is also made of material that isn't strong enough. I guess the folks at GE want you to have lots of space---because there is lots of space--but don't want you to put heavy things in the fridge or freezer. Too delicate but so pretty, such a shame!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Super refridgerator

My family has owned this refrigerator for one week. So far so good. I'm very impressed with the features. Probably the only thing I wish it had was more capacity for ice but other than that it's been great. Best features:
* LED's come on dim and brighten over a couple seconds - makes it so late night opening doesn't hurt your eyes
* Lock for ice/water panel - having a couple young children makes this a must have
* Center cooling tray that allows for a variation in temperature for deli, meat and beverages
* Ability to open one bi-fold door at a time vs having to open both like older models
* The finish is beautiful and does not easily show finger prints
