Nice finish, but LOUD

I've never had a refrigerator so loud before. Had technicians out to fix issues but the refrigerator is still loud. Not happy with my purchase at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the look, but...

I had all matching GE slate appliances installed at the beginning of April. They look great.
A few things about the fridge bug me. 1.) You can't open the right side door while you are getting ice or water from the left side door. Annoying. The water flow rate is kind of low, so you have to stand there patiently while a big glass fills if you want to grab something else out. 2.) The water spout drips after use. Sure, I can wipe it, but if I don't then I have to use CLR to get the mineral reside off the little shelf.
The inside is great. Love the lights and options to customize layout and temp. I have found there to be plenty of room. The right side door has a ton of space.
All 1st world problems. Probably worth getting since the look is so amazing. Life is a series of trade-offs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My Slate Refrigerator

Love it. Have always bought GE products. However, the water and ice dispenser poses a problem in that there are a few drips after getting water and the ice cubes splatters outside of the area. Didn't experience this with my 12 year GE refrigerator that I replaced. Other than that, I'm happy with what I have.

As part of my complete kitchen remodel, I upgraded all appliances. Love the slate options. This is replacing another GE model that I bought used and owned for 10 years...it was still performing very well. GE seems built to last. Was a little worried about this one being smaller than my old one. But once I transferred all my food and beverages, still have lots of room to spare. I had read some reviews about this one being noisy, I find that it runs super quiet! Who knew that I could be so excited about a new refrigerator?!

Simple to use and looks amazing in our kitchen. Even being counter depth there is so much space it looks like I never have enough food! Very satisfied

For a fridge that costs almost 3k you would think it would be quiet. In fact our maching ge dishwasher is quieter than the fridge. The water dispenser drips a bit of water after you fill a glass which leaves a puddle on the tray. If you fill up to many glasses before the water can evaporate then the puddle will run down the side of the fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had this fridge for a couple months and I am dissappointed because it is loud, the finish is very sensitive and scratches easy and it does not make much ice. It looks good until you use it and it smears and scratches. This finish is not good if you have a family.

Great features! Adjustable drawers & shelves!

Replaced my sis by side and cannot believe the additional spaciousness with adjustable shelves and counter depth...no more reaching & squeezing to make room! Even the bottom freezer has a hidden shelf in the drawer door for narrow things like nuts or candy.
I would recommend this to a friend!
