Easiest Wireless Setup Ever

Since I just purchased this product I haven't had a chance to use it much yet, but the wireless setup was incredible. Our home has lots of wireless items and none of them were this easy to set up.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great picture; love the Vudu. If NFL link gets added as well as some ESPN3 stuff, I'll give this another star.

Easy to Setup

I was surprised how easy this player was to set up, both in the component system and on the wireless network. (less than 20 minutes total) Updates seem to happen fairly regularly. Video quality seems to be very good.
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings, easy to use

Great Bluray / Weak Wireless
on August 21, 2010

I got this player for the ability to get a wireless feed for Vudu and Netflix in one box (I also have an Xbox 360). The hook up to my 2 year old LCD TV was a snap and the wireless step up was a breeze. I had none of the setup and wireless problems I read about while researching new Bluray players. One issue that has made itself apparent is the weak wireless signal on the BD570. I have a LG LD550 in a room that the wireless signal has to go through multiple walls and does so without a problem. For the BD570 a single wall with an open door seems to be a stretch. I used my movie credit to watch a movie from Vudu in HD, not even HDX, and it started re-buffering after five minutes and even asked if I wanted to reduce the format to SD. The LG LD550 has never done this and its wireless dongle has to receive the signal through the TV and four walls at pretty severe angles. The network features are great and do work well when the wireless signal doesn’t get in the way. It is so nice not to have to go to a different device just to see what available from another entertainment provider. The unit’s footprint is small and very simple. The only thing that concerns me is the flip front door looks like could break fairly easily.
Pros: Features/Settings, Style/Design, easy to use

Easy to Operate Blu-Ray
on September 2, 2010

After struggling for weeks with set-up and operation of another brand of Blu-Ray player, this LG unit was a a piece of cake. The menus are simple and clear, the screen for inputing my password to my Wi-Fi connection was easy and worked the first time. Best of all, picture quality is superb!
There should be a button on the LG remote to enable switching the TV input back to cable when done with the Blu-Ray. Also, I'd like to to be able to see/hear content (photos, music, etc.) from my Mac on my TV via the LG unit. This feature apparently works with a PC but not a Mac. For these two reasons LG gets only 4 stars!
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings, Quality, easy to use, easy set-up

Minor problem, easy fix!
on November 22, 2010

I started having problems with the player not recognizing rewriteable DVD's recorded in another unit. Note: It had previously played a wide variety of disks previously.
After a software update from the approved website slowly more & more disks started to not be recognized. Resolved problem by:******* Unplugged unit over night, initialized it to the factory defaults & did not update the software.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, enhances definition!
