Nothing better for the price!!

This device has become the center piece of our entertainment setup. I think we spend more time streaming content than actually using the Bluray lol!! Set-up could not be any easier than what has been done with this unit. My only real gripe would be the fact that the USB port can only be used with the door down. Not a deal breaker in my opinion but would be nice to have a smaller access port for USB. All in all this is the absolute best unit for the money you will find. The picture and sound quality are excellent and there has been a couple of software updates already to enhance the value of the device.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Cons: usb only accessable with the door down.
I would recommend this to a friend!

YouTube needs improvement

The BD570 is a fine unit well worth the price, but there is one glaring issue that needs to be fixed. When searching YouTube from your channel, you cannot save a video to your favorites. In addition, you cannot access your Playlists or delete a video from your favorites. All those things can be done on another Blu-ray player with same price category. Otherwise, everything seems to work as it's supposed to and quality seems good, although much too early to really know quality, only have unit a few days.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use
Cons: youtube needs more functions--see review

Great Blu Ray Payer

This was my first blu ray player and I am very happy with it for the most part. Out of the box, the BD570 was quite easy to setup with my HT system. Setting up the wireless LAN connection was a breeze and works very well. I watched the blu ray dvd of Star Trek on it and it was simply awesome. I did experience the BD570 locking up a couple of times in the first couple of months I had it. But I haven't experienced it after my third firmware and driver update.
The BD570 is well designed. However, I think they need to reconsider the flip-down door on the front of the player. If you have a USB flash card installed, this flip-down door basically remains open. Perhaps they need to place the USB port in the rear of the unit.
LG should also reconsider having the floating ice cube user interface. I thought this was a bit too busy and could have been simplified.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Everything I needed it to do.

Obviously the Full HD 1080p goes without questioning. NetCast is definitely a highlight. Integrated Wireless was the primary selling point for me - I didn't feel like expanding a whole in the floor to accommodate more network cable and comparable competitors wanted significantly higher price or additional hardware.
Everything was "plug and play" simple - no problems connecting to network, Netflix, nor additional hardware in the house.
Pros: Features/Settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No Disappointments Here

Awesome clarity, picture and improved sound. No disappointments. Easy to use/operate. Set up was a breeze. We purchased the blu-ray player to compliment our LG 47LH90 47" 240 Hz LED tv. They are superior. We will be purchasing additional LG products for the rest of our rooms.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Easy to Use and Setup
on July 13, 2010

After reading the reviews on several other WIFI enabled blu-ray players, I chose this one because of the simple to use interface. I like the large icon menu for selections. It makes it easy for my wife and kids to use. I actually have it hard-wired to my network for now and the setup was easy. Everything worked the first time. I have Netflix and it worked flawlessly. Also, it connected easily to my Pandora and Picasa accounts. I previously had a Sony BDP-BX1 and the new LG loads blu-ray disks much faster. All in all I'm happy with the purchase.
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings, easy to use
