Printing is fine. I use mine to reproduce my artwork into greeting cards. One drawback. It will not permit me to use l/2 sheet of paper. 8 1/2 x 5 1/2. Is there a setting for that size paper???
The colorwork is good. Ink is reasonably priced. Delivery was 2 days.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cartridge problems

The initial setup wasn't too bad, but the ink cartridges failed almost immediately. That's why I had to get rid of the last printer from HP. Luckily, I purchased additional cartridges and was able to replace them so I wasn't without a printer for another week.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For a copier that is supposed to print more than one pages/minute this printer does NOT live up to HP's claim. It should have a built in alarm to wake me when a two or three page document has finished printing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

good multifunction printer

I dual-boot Linux and Windows with a distinct preference for Mint Linux. I just plugged it in and started using it under Mint Linux. I mostly use it for scanning to my computer with occasional use for color printing and copying. I do not use the fax. I use a laser printer for most of my printing jobs. I have had no problems, and will probably use the network feature in the future along with setting it up under windows.
One of my requirements is that it work well with Linux and HP support for Linux is superb.
I have played with computers for over forty years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I asked for a comp to OJ 5610.....this is not it I really need the Fax, copy, print functions on the PC monitoe to alloy fast function chance. now I must actually go to the printer to enter functions bad move. I need a more capable machine

It is nice and fast, but awfully noisy.
Also there is not enough operator instructions for it. I still don't know how to make multiple copies with the copier on top of the unit.
Much to complicated to setup and operate.
The installation of new ink cartridges is too involved versus my old deskjet 6500.
Needing to put the printed out sheet back into the copy section is really overly complicated.

The fax function appears to depend on the computer rather than be self standing.
The biggest problem I have is the lack of good operator instructions. A two hundred page downloaded instruction book is ludicrous.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
