Did not install properly

The scan feature would not work; I spent over 7 hours uninstalling all HP print files and programs and then reinstalling the program several times; I finally got the scan feature to work, but there is still a print file that is missing that continues to try to install on boot-up; very annoying; this Officejet 4500 series replaced my 4-year old Officejet 6400 which I loved; Everything is now working, but it is definitely not worth the hassel!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This printer is easy to set up and use.
The HP software is excellent.
I am so pleased with this product - I remark to myself and others how great it is almost every time I use it. I have used it to fax, copy, scan and print directly from a web page - this is great.

I absolutely love this printer. I recently got rid of my Dell, it was too bulky and too confusing as to the printing. Thanks.....

This product is noisy

The printer is incredibly noisy. It sounds like someone is dropping a box of wrenches into a tool box. I took out a three year warranty for the simple reason that I doubt if this thing lasts that long. I'm quite disappointed in the quality of its operation.

Great Printer...

All my previous printers has been from HP. After having the last one for about three years I was in hunt for a upgrade so I bought the officejet 4500. I love this printer. It was easy to set up and prints faster than my previous one. The only problem I had was the installition, there was no automatic download from the internet so I had to use the CD for each computer that I own. Overall, I strongly recommend this printer for anyone looking to purchase a new one.
I would recommend this to a friend!
