Great product

This is a great little office addition. Nice and quiet and produces excellent print images. It fits into small spaces and was definitely a good buy for home office use. Easy to change disposable items and a nice aesthetic look. Great value for money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A good workhorse

This is a good printer which has all the attributes that you might want and at a reasonable price
Ink prices are high but whose are not
The only drawback is the power save feature which is impossible to get out of so it will run very cheap . The only way out is to unplug the unit from the power wait 5 secs and plug it in again

Awful machine

I have been a long standing customer of HP printers and have owned many machines both personally and for business. But without doubt this was the worst printer I have ever bought, from any manufacturer; period.
Right from the word go; it refused to set up across the network, (something that is usually a doddle with HP's) failing multiple times but never for the same reason.
When it did manage to set up, printing was always hit and miss but usually 85% miss, with countless errors, from the item failed to print because; the "cartridge is not installed correctly" to the "carriage door is open" to the "carriage is jammed" you name it. After trying everything I knew for 10 days enough was enough and it was returned.
In fairness to HP I have to stress that normally I hold their printer products in the highest regard. They simply got it horribly wrong with this machine.

Problems with xps documents

My printer was excellent when i first installed , best printer ive tried, actually. I Have a problem please help, every time i try to print a document recently it is asking me to use the printer to save as a xps file. i dont want to do this and can no longer print anything. im getting frustrated as i cant print college documents. Please please help.

great printer whilst it worked.
got error that ink cartridge door was open when it is most definitely closed. unable to print final year uni work and
now having to be sent a replacement printer.

Had the officejet 4500 all in one printer for 4 weeks no problems. The printer would draw the paper half way in then fail to print. Tried all the help and tests, nothing corrected the fault. Outside the 30 day return with amazon but they agreed to a refund.
