An excellent all-in-one

I purchased this printer from Tesco's at a special price and it was easy to set up and use. It is a bit noisy when operating.
Colour printing gives excellent photo colours and easy to use instructions for sizing and/or formatting but needs practising to become familiar with terminology for anyone new to wanting to do more.
I use Word for Scanning and Custom Insert has to be used - the HP scanning software works well.
Have not yet seen 901 cartridges in my branch of Tesco but will go to a larger store and use my local supplier. Do not want to shop on-line as I am not happy with this method of payment.
It is noisy and I had some initial 'incompatible cartridge error' messages but good support by e-mail was excellent and I would recommend this printer to friends and colleagues so far (about 2 months). Also, the black cartridge was small so already I am receiving 'low ink' messages and is just under half full.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Although I have always been a fan of HP Printers I have had no end of trouble with this one. It will for no reason loose its wireless connection and will not go into power save mode, then it has to be reset by switching off and back on. Despite no end of assistance from HP these problems still exsist.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi,
Just to let you know the best part of this AIO Printer is, it has a Auto Feeder which is so much convenient to use for scanning many pages into a single PDF or any other format. The scan quality n options are also too good.
I would recommend this to any one looking for a AIO printer at home.

having read many concepts re the hp 4500 officejet , i said to myself have i purchased a dodgy appliance, .
not a bit of it, it is a great purchase and works really fine, this is my third h p printer, and im delighted with its workings,
if there is any problems with it, then its passed me by.

Very good wifi printer,works very well from a laptop,but the app for iPad cuts off the headers so you do not know who sent the email or the web page.

Looks great! However I only got about 60 pages before the ink cartridge supplied ran out right in the middle of an important job! I needed a printer quickly and this was part of the reasons for buying. I replaced the black cartridge and the colour ran out.....as too did the 2nd replacement black cartridge within 100 pages. Also on large print jobs the paper in the out tray seems to want to be dragged back into the printer by the input paper tray below...causing a paper jam.
That said for small print jobs this equipment is fine. The print quality is good and the scan/copy is also good. Just don't expect this to be an "all singing and dancing business printer".....because it is not!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My daughter got it for me for my birthday as my old
one had died on me,it is easy to set up,and very good value,only printed a few things on as of now but with the wireless on i can sit in another room and send it to printer,I have recomended it to all my mates at work,so hope they all get one.
