frustrating printer!

Ive had a HP 3 in one for years. Decided to change for a new model as the ink was becoming obsolete. New machine? Really - not good. ! It seems to have a mind of it's own - I sometimes need to turn it off and restart to get it to do ANYTHING at all . Its an ink glutton too! Not to be recommended at all. I'd put it in the bin if I could afford to buy something else!

Well pleased with the 4500 all-in-one printer.
Had a few setting up queries which were sorted out by your very helpful support staff. We run three computers off this printer (domestic household) and the system runs very smoothly.
Even my wife can cope with this printer! The replacement ink cartridges are reasonably priced which is important to me. I strongly recommend this unit to you.

I purchased te printer on impulse at Tesco. My Cannon has served me well but the colour printing was not now giving me what I wanted. The HP, so far, has been great! The print quality is excellent, the set-up was easy and the wi-fi works very well. I would certainly recommend it to others.

Very Frustrating!!

I bought this product for a start up business as I needed a printer / multi page scanner and opted for a HP product as I have always felt that HP produce superior products to their rivals. I have had nothing but trouble with the printer, from being told that the supplied cartirdges were not genuine HP products which caused the product to constantly crash, the wireless connection does not work and the scanner only works when it would appear when it wants too! I have to constantly shut down and reboot my laptop and the printer in order to get it to work.
On the positive side when the product works the quality is good but the negatives far outweigh the positives, I would not recomend this unless HP can resolve these issues!

It worked for 3 months, paper constantly jamming, making loud scrunching noises. Tried reinstalling printer to computer to no avail. Bought it from a shop that was closing down, tried to get advice from HPon what do to be told they only deal with commercial business'!
Very disappointed.

Bad Menus Bad Service

When purchasing a HP product in another country you suddenly discover the immediate language barrier problems. It took me hours to try to configure mine in particular the menu referring to the fax connection. The menu was written in gobbled gook and it was almost impossible to find which country I really was in from the drop down list. I had to do this by counting down the countries and language list from my lap top by number until I reached the country I needed and then recounting on the HP menu. It really does need to be simplified for all users. Furthermore there was no after service contact from customer support and only reference to those having suffered the same demise as myself. Fortunately when the nightmare of set up was over I discovered a great product , but none the less it should never have installed in an unknown language to me and offered me clearly the opportunity to decide that English is my preference from the very start.
Look forward to seeing other comments on this problem and whether HP will resolve it in the near future.
