The printer only works intermittently sometimes have to switch off and on again or plug in lead not conviniet as purchase was location of printer to desk and lead not fitting , very disappointed with this although when working printer gives excellent quality

I had a small start up issue from my new HP officejet 4500. Product manual troubleshooting failed leading me to on line help. Help line advised service from local dealer who awarded a replacement order as per warranty.
I am currently using my older HP printer which is trouble free waiting for my newer piece with more features on the state of the art.

the product is excellent but VERY NOISEY on set up and ready to print - quality of print very good - manual is somewhat LACKING in information and could do with a better section listed as an " idiots guide " - simple terms explanation
As an Honours graduate and Professional Enginbeer the goods are acceptable and happy with the machine for business purposes

The product has been unreliable from the moment it was installed. When it works, it works reasonably well, but it regularly tries to inform me that incorrect printer cartridges are installed (the installed cartridges are the genuine HP items which were supplied with the printer), and then refuses to work at all. Also, using the machine as a copier is a waste of time - the copies are obscured with thick black lines. Cleaning the scanning bed has made no difference. It's ok as a cheap scanner, but operation is much slower than the (much older) item it replaced. Overall, I regret it cannot be recommended.
