i had given up all hope of finding a printer that would do just that,in total over thelast few years we have 4 in our attic.thankyou hp officejet4500.i am 54years old,with no real computer savy,but I INSTALLED THIS PRINTER MYSELF and guess what it prints,no more do i have to cringe when the print this of now prompt comes on,and its also a fax......
I would recommend this to a friend!

I niow have two Officejet printers; one in my US home and one in my UK Office. They are reliable, easy to operate and the scanning feature is second to none.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quality printing value prices

My family share a hp4500 plus an hp6500a. Both work well, with efficient use of ink.
Setting up was made easier with the help of the hp European office and appropriate CDs
Ink usage is not excessive compared to previous non hp printers.
Hp provides fair to good value printing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Build Quality not up to usual standard

Fantastic design and look, feed for scanner works brilliantly allowing multiple pages, all functions work great but main paper tray flimsy. Something failed internally in my first two machines (now on 3rd) causing paper to chew up and jam. This one seems to be fine and networks via router great, although if printer is changed you do have to uninstall and re-install software on each computer for it to be recognised. However HP have BEST customer service I have ever known and replacement machine arrived bext day so highly recommend HP just maybe not this model unless they had a faulty batch?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
