Not what I wwanted

Wireless set up quick and easy. But cannot access the printer from handheld devices.
Copy works well including 2 sided.
Scan to computer works well but cannot find a way to assigned desired file names.
Photo print qualify is average at best.
Pros: Easy Setup
Cons: Large Footprint, Dull Tones & Colors, High Ink Consumption
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I owned a Canon printer before buying another 2 letter printer because it fit in my printer compartment in my desk. Bad mistake! It is so nice to be back with Canon and the PIXMA MX870. It was easy for me to set up on my home network. It has work without any problems. Pictures are beautiful as well as all other output. The two sided options are wonderful. Faxes are easy to do and to receive. I set mine up to receive all faxes to printer memory. It prints quietly and like it was designed to be a quality product. I really can't think of anything I would change other than it would be nice if it was smaller in size. I have it located lengthwise in my printer compartment and have to slide it out to print and use it. It is worth the extra effort to get a product that just works! Maybe you can tell I am really happy with my printer!

This is the best all-in-one I have purchased. All of the functions work great. It was a snap to set up and the print qualit is excellent.

This is a replacement printer of another cannon printer. I liked the first one I had so I replaced it with another cannon with more features.
Pros: Easy Setup, durable, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use

This All-In-One Printer does a really great job with all of the functions for the price ( great with color photos, color and manipulation). The BONUS is the Organisation of the Solutions set-up; it is easy, exact, and flexible. And, the Manual has the same comfortable feeling to use it. The pictures in the Set-up instructions are really the Best.

Cons: Slow Print Speed, Heavy/Bulky

I had this printer now fot two months and it does everything I ask it to do and more pictures are real clear great printer for the price.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, Low Ink Consumption, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use

Excellent and versatile

I bought the PIXMA MX870 for two major reasons: the relatively low cost of inks and its wireless capabilities. In both areas, it has exceeded my expectations. It's performing perfectly. When I got it to my home office, I was surprised to discover all the options that are available and now have it set up specifically to my office needs. A major bonus is that it now prints photos AND anything else directly from my iPhone4 and iPad2!! I had to download apps to enable this, but it works perfectly!!

Prints a quick clean sheet. Wireless is a dream come true. I have scanned thousands of photos and documents with another brand and was disappointed on how long the PIXMA MA 870 takes to scan one item.
Pros: Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Large Footprint, Heavy/Bulky
