Excellent Home Office Printer

Not every printer has these features I was looking for:
*Rear feed for envelopes and single sheets of paper
*Duplex Scanning
*Wireless
*Duplex Scanning
*Wireless
Solid Software.

Great Product, Lousy Setup Guide

Let me preface this review by saying that I've been working with computers in my job for 20 years, and have been a technical writer for more than 30 years.
It look me a full two hours to set up this unit in a wireless environment. As a technical writer, I know the importance of following each step in a set of instructions. The instructions provided with this unit were very hard to follow and confusing. I've seen many layouts and presentation methods for providing instructions, but never one as hard to follow as this one.
This is definitely not a plug-and-play device.
Once it's set up, though, the performance of the unit is excellent.
Pros: reliable, durable, Low Ink Consumption, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use
Cons: difficult to set up

Excellent purchase

My first multifunction printer, very good choice, prints very well and fast enough. All other functions work as advertised. Seems to be an excellent machine. I had a little trouble setting us wireless function, called Canon customer service. A world class experience, help was provided in 10 to 15 minutes from the time I called and everything was working great. Would recomend the printer and Canon service to anyone.
Pros: Easy Setup, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use
Cons: Large Footprint

Great Machine

Sometimes ackward to copy. The lid is convient but heavy. Have used now for 3 months.
Found to be an overall excellent all around printer, copier, & fax machine.
Would recomend to any one looking for an easy to use and set up unit that offers great quality.

Best Printer, highly recommended!

Best printer I've ever owned. As a teacher, I needed a good, quick, reliable printer at home. This one is the rolls royce of printers! Good quality printing of documents and pictures, very quick, quiet, and I loved the 2 sided & wireless features. The Canon help page was great when I had a question!
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, Low Ink Consumption, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Heavy/Bulky

print heads poor quality for black printing

I purchased this printer at a good price however, you will pay it back many times over because the ink has to be replaced often. 2-3X more often than my old printer. The printer no longer works as heads are clogged and will no longer print anything even though there is ink. Often will not print if one black ink is low and there is still ink in it.
Pros: wireless
Cons: uses too much ink, clogs easily and my printer isruined
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect fit

I was skeptical about a wireless printer, but not anymore!! Out of the box, setup on my desktop and 2 laptops flawlessly within a half hour!! Prints great.
Pros: Easy Setup, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Large Footprint
