The unit is excellent. I have had to update the software a number of times. Updating is as easy as everything else. No problems.
Pros: easy to use, Quality, netflix

Excelent Blue Ray Player

I had a BD-300 model that I loved but it didn't have all the features a lot of the newer players have.
I love this Blue Ray player even more!! Funny thing is it was only about 1/3 the price of the BD-300 model. I Love all the new features this player has and I am very happy with my purchase.

Almost got it right

This BD player is great but with one simple addition it could be superb! It has Netflix built in, but you cannot add to your queue from the player. Also they do not connect you to Hulu nor other UpNP / DNLA servers.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The picture could use a little improvement when up-scaling a DVD. Netflix loads faster than on our Wii. Wish it was possible to stream video/audio over the network to the player, from a pc. I'm not sure I would ever turn it off then.

Does everything as advertised. Can't beat the price for what you are getting. Netflix movies play perfectly. Had to do an update before it would play a blu ray disc which took about 15 minutes.
Pros: easy to use

My First Blue Ray DVD Player

I bought the Blue Ray DVD Player because of the salesman. He showed me all of the features, and explained how many things I can do with this BR DVD, along with the price comparision to other brands that did not have the features this LG had, so I was sold, and I bought the BR DVD Player, before I bought the LCD TV. My son thought that was odd. But, I had my reasons. In any event, I ended up buying both, and the simplicity of function is great as well as how well it functions. This is really a great product and it looks nice also.
I would recommend LG to everyone I know and don't know! It even makes the room look larger and cleaner.
