Almost perfect

This is a perfect product for blu-ray viewing and netflix/youtube etc. I haven't experienced any problems so far. It has some usability issues though : 1) You cannot type movie name in netflix to search. This means you have to do some home work on your computer if you want to watch a particular movie. 2) The length of the text field for YouTube video names is limited. If a video has a long name (like the loooooooooooonnnnngggg cat ) then it won't show up completely on the screen.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love the netcast features of this player. There are two things that I think could be improved. The Netflix interface could use a search feature. It would be great to be able to search and add movies to the instant queue. Also, The Pandora player really needs a screen saver. Please, screen saver in the next update.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings

First Bluray player: good but not excellent

This is my first HD experience: bought BD550 and 55LE4500 TV, hooked them through HDMI, and was looking at Bluray disks and upconverted DVDs; very easy to use. Was happy for a while, till I noticed that blu-ray playbacks would often be interrupted with the video switching off for a second or less ... still haven't figured out what is wrong. The features I don't much care about since I have internet access and DLNA on the TV, but the regular updates are good. What is missing about the updates is any description of what the update does! And, the requirement to remove disks and usb sticks for an upgrade to take place is irritating to say the least. Additional useful feature would have been automatic ethernet from the power line if homeplug a/v was automatically installed.
Pros: value for price
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simply a good BD player

I have this BD player hard wired to my network because I had that luxury. I have also integrated it into the Control4 Home Automation system I have and run the control of it through my RF remote. Never have any problems with it working or reading a disc.
