Awesome with connectivity to Network Movies

It took a while to figure out how to connect the Blu Ray player to my Network. But once connected, the speed and picture quality has been outstanding. Great player!
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Cons: finding a nearby lan connection

I purchased this BD player for my bedroom and have since moved it into my media room. It is extremely easy to use and has great picture quality. Unlike one of my other BD players it has never locked up or made any unusual noises. I would highly recommend this play for its exceptional quality and very reasonable price.

BD550 - Great Product - *****

This is my first blu-ray so I have nothing else to compare to in regards to blu-ray. However, this is a great product. Out of the box I plugged it directly into my router and followed the update instructions. In a matter of minutes the unit logged into the LG update website, found it's new firmware, downloaded and updated itself. Now it sits in the family room and preforms without any glitches being plugged into my 7.1 receiver for audio and my HD TV for video. Threw Avitar blu-ray in for my first viewing and WOW! Don't know why I waited so long.

Nice Budget Player

Other than no Wi-Fi and no Weather for my area - the fourth largest in my state, I like the player.

LG550 Blu-ray

This is my first blu-ray player and I am quite impressed with it. Connection and setup was extremely simple and easy to do. Connected to internet (wired) easily and worked with no problems. Blu-ray movies look superb as expected but mostly I have been watching lots of DVD's. BD550 upconverts them very well. Prior to this I had an upconverting DVD player and the BD550 does just as good a job of playing DVD's as my previous player. My only issue has been finding the correct up and down selection buttons on the remote. Even though those buttons are somewhat angled to make this easier, I seem to have a slight problem intuitively finding them without actually looking. That is probably me more than the remote. Overall, I am very pleased with this unit so far.

This is a good entry level blu-ray player. Good picture and good features
Pros: love the quality of vudu movies, can see youtube vids faster than on my computer
Cons: lack of wireless support, wish it had wireless keyboard support, wish it had a built in or downloadable web browser, could add hulu so i can watch family guy

I love this no-frills blue-ray player. Just turn it on and watch your favorite movie. For us older folks that don't have the techno knowledge this is it. The slim line build fits right under the tv.
