The motor on the lid started to fail within 1 year. For an item that cost [$] I expect better performance. Milk burns in one spot on the bottom of the carafe (uneven heating) and is difficult to clean off.
Pros: Attractive design
Cons: Noisy, Difficult To Clean, Motor failed in 1 yr, Burns milk
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pros: Unique, Smooth Taste
Cons: none

This is the 3rd one I have had in 8 months. I have had to return the others because they stop working. Customer support has been wonderful..they have replaced each one with no questions, so as long as I can keep getting a new one, I will continue to use it. I LOVE it when it works!!! I miss it terribly when it does not work.
Pros: Easy to clean, Easy to fill, Pours Cleanly
Cons: Flimsy Construction, Short life span, Inconsistant froth
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When I first got this product I was so excited to use it because of my love of lattes. When it broke the first time I thought I did something wronge. I replaced it and now 3 months later it's broke again. So in 6 months I've had 2 of them.[...]sells one for [$] batteries not included, I think I'll go back to that one.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Short Life-Span
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loved the Frother while it worked

I loved the frother while it worked. We received as a Christmas gift and it lasted 3 months before the plastic piece on the spring broke...wanted a replacement piece from maker but not available. My husband put it back together and it worked another 3 months. The frother cost too much to replace, we purchased a portable frother for much less. Easier to clean, but not as easy to use.
Pros: Pours Cleanly, Well Insulated, Attractive design, Easy to fill
Cons: Plastic Piece Broke, Flimsy Construction, Difficult To Clean
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No replacement parts and burns the milk
on December 29, 2010

Unfortunately the wire whip broke off the frother and Keurig doesn't sell any replacement parts so I have to throw it away! For this expensive of an item, they should offer replacement parts. Now it's going in the landfill just because one little whip broke off the end!!! Also when it did work, the milk got scalded and stuck to the bottom.
Pros: Worked only a short time
Cons: Broke easily
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Forget it

It's very cheaply constructed. From the fragile frothing mechanism, to the very thin coating on the inner bowl surface, to the fact that the heat distribution element on the bottom of the bowl is not uniform things seem to have been engineered by software hack dropouts rather than industrial engineers. Add to this that the internal electrical system is easily shorted to the point of uselessness even when extreme caution is taken in the maintenance of the machine and you have a product that would be better applied as a deep sea fishing weight. A sorry excuse for a frother. But face it, Keurig's scam or as they may say in their internal business meetings, their value proposition, is within their sales of coffee. The brewer, a shoddy product itself, and the accessories are merely vehicles to move the cost center product--coffee.
