Still a major believer in using Turbo tax (since late eighties).
What's great about it: ease of preperation and rveiw that all is done correctly and ability to file electronically
What's not so great: much trouble with filing this year but wiot help from Cust Servic ei finally was able to file eletronically by uninmstal

TURBO ROCKS

I've been using TurboTax ever since I started file tax. What I like the most is the Learn more sections where you can get explanations on an item you're working on. I will always do my own tax using TurboTax. I even recommend it to my friends and they start using it too. :) Great tool!
What's great about it: FAST - SIMPLE
What's not so great: NONE
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Complicated taxed made easy

I've been using Turbo Tax for 3 years now and it has made life a lot easier. The first year I entered everything and the next two years it imports all the entered data for just about everything making is quick and easy to enter the amounts for the new year. Thanks for making a great program!
What's great about it: Easy to use and covered everything I needed
What's not so great: Sometimes the questions it asks are not easy to answer

Easy to Use, but short on mileage flexibility

Overall, I find Turbo Tax to be straightforward and relatively simple.
I appreciate the option of letting Turbo Tax lead me through the entire return preparation process or simply taking myself to the portions I know are relevant and skipping those I am sure are not.
I like that it is able to transfer so many details from my previous year's return, including details on charitable organizations.
The mileage for charitable contributions is not adequate, though. In my volunteer efforts, I drive to the same place many times a year, but from two different locations, so the mileage differs. I also drive to a couple of other destinations a handful of times a year, with very different mileages. Their data entry model does not match well with my activities.
What's great about it: Once you learn the Turbo Tax Way, it's easy to use
What's not so great: If your volunteer driving trips are many, with many different distances, it is...awkward

I recommend that once you enter answers that they remain in place when you review what you previously entered. On occasion, boxes are blank when you review.
What's great about it: Ease of following instructions.
What's not so great: On review, previous answers need to be answered again.
