I found Turbo Tax very easy to use. It moved from one category to another in logical order. The price is reasonable.

Walking through the Tax Season

We have used turbo tax since 1999 and each year the program get better and better to use and follow. There are donation items not on the detailed list such as paper items including gift wrapping paper and card etc...
What's great about it: easy to enter data and automate tax calculation. Easy to follow guide and answer questions
What's not so great: some items we donated were not on the detail listing program

Great product to use. Have used it for 20 plus years. It will tell you when there is a is a problem and tells you when it is right.

Tried Turbotax many years ago and it was good. I have always done my taxes myself the old fashioned way. Tried it this year since it was getting more complicated and was I surprised. It was neat, clean and fast. I am hooked now.
What's great about it: walks you right through it with good short questions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Requires patience, as it works through it's own procedures. Not all items are covered in the areas one might think they should be. This year, I noticed additional information advising items would come up later. I found that very helpful.
What's great about it: it's quick
What's not so great: Hard to find answers unless you know what to ask for.

The income part is awful this year. Maddening. Charging more for less user friendly.
