Harder than last year

It was a little difficult to complete the taxes using Turbo Tax Pro. With all the cuts made on the program this year it was harder to finish a simple Tax return with out jumping to the IRS site for directions on forms. I hope next years product will be corrected.
What's great about it: Still Informative
What's not so great: Had To jump to IRS site to get form to complete my calculations.

pay the IRS the right amount

Turbo tax is for everyone at all levels from the novice tax preparer to the savvy multi deduction , multi income expert.
What's great about it: quick, easy to use educational and insightful
What's not so great: Turbo customer since the 90's no complains it gets easier every year

Overall good program to use. Most of the people I know do use this program because it is easy.
What's great about it: easy to follow directions
What's not so great: had to file part-time resident with maryland and n.carolina did not give specific instructions on what paperwork to send
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great product

When navigating the program always in the past the program would calculate the change in what you owe or refund block as you completed each section. This year there was no recalculation or explanation when I entered the home interest and property tax. This gave the illusion that the input was not accepted somehow. I assume the difference in tax law this year did not give a standard deduction and my home info. I could find no explanation....I didn't look to deep. I've used turbo tax since about 2000
What's great about it: simple walks you through entire project
What's not so great: didn't explain change in deductions from last year

Turbo Tax is so easy and it gets me great refunds. It helps me get every last penny back that I deserve.

Not happy this year

I user TurboTax every year and generally like it. The ability to pull in last year's data is nice.
This year the product is BUGGY!!! In particular it is infuriating when it pops up a dialog box that is required to continue, but the contents of dialog is invisible. I can hover and find buttons, but have no idea what they mean, even though I'm forced to select one.
It would have been nice if you'd mentioned that we need to turn on SSL and TLS in Internet Explorer. I don't use IE normally and TLS was off. This prevented me from even accessing your help site, so it appeared your servers were down.
The credit card processing was unstable. I had to try several times because it would say "processing" for a long time and then just come back to the previous window and hang. No message, no idea what it was doing or wanted. Close program and try again until it finally worked.
Add to this the mess with removing features from the Deluxe version that we all expected and this year's product was not a winner.
What's great about it: Easy user interface - when it works
What's not so great: Buggy this year!

My biggest refund

I like turbo tax even though I can go to a tax preparer for less money as I still have to list everything!!!!
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: Form 1099R box 12 will not allow to type in EXEMPT as on form
