Easy Enough

The US tax structure stinks, but the Turbo Tax software makes it easy to figure out what needs to be done.

Easy to download and fairly easy to follow the step-by-step instructions. There are, however, a few areas that could be better explained. In my case they fall into the retirement income area and social security areas. Not all filers will require better info in this area, but as Americans get older, you might want to give a nod to this area.

Have your information collected before you start this program. Just arrange it in order of income and deductions and off you go.
What's great about it: Very fast if you have all info
What's not so great: Don;t have any

Easy as Pi

TurboTax gives easy to follow instructions and allows the user plenty of leeway to correct errors. It also allows the user to stop and "save" if things get a little foggy. I would suggest reminding users to "save" frequently in order to avoid repeating the work. I had a case where I pressed the "save" button and the next time i moved my mouse the computer hung up. It was a good save.
What's great about it: Clear and concise instructions
What's not so great: Only one problem. On my 1099-R from OPM, Block 2a. is marked "UNKNOWN" and you insisted that I enter a numerical value.

Awesome refund

I have been using turbo tax for over 15 years, the first few years I had my brother help me,but after that I have been doing it myself for the last 10 years. I love how much money I save doing my own taxes every year. I brag to my friends how I am in control of what I enter and no mistakes can be made by someone who does not care about me as much as I care about me. That makes me feel like I'm in control. It's not hard to figure out because you guide us through all the questions to make sure nothing is missed.This year I had a problem with e-filing and customer service helped me resolve it quickly without any problem. I will continue to recommend turbo tax to all my friends and co-workers. Thanks again.

Easy to use

I have used Turbo-Tax for last three years. It took me about three hours to complete and file both the federal and state returns. Simple and easy to use.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions that are easy to follow
What's not so great: Initially, I had problems with loading the software. I had to delete and reload to make it work.
