Quick transfer of last years information

I keep seeing Turbo Tax tell me that next year it will import information for me to make the process easier----- however, this NEVER happens. The import function at the beginning of the process says that the .t or .tax extension transfers a lot more information than the pdf- however, when you want to save your return it automatically puts it in a pdf. I do not see who you can save the file that apparently helps transfer more information over. It would be nice if this actually were as simple as they make it sound and would keep me using turbo tax if it actually worked.
What's great about it: It helps if you have a saved file to import
What's not so great: the turbo tax system automatically puts it in a pdf for you- however, that only transfers a small amount of information

BEEN USING TURBO TAX FOR YEARS. GOOD SUPPORT IF NEEDED.
What's not so great: HAD TROUBLE WITH PIN NUMBERS. NEED TO MAAKE MRD EASIER

What's not so great: Did not give any recommendations to decrease the amount of money I owed.

My taxes aren't complicated, but Turbo-Tax takes all the uncertainty out of the process

I put in last years agi. We filed jointly. I put same agi in for my wife. Return was rejected - said her agi was wrong.
