State tax skyrocketed

Apparently the state of NC needed revenue, so they increased their rates five fold.

Turbo Tax Review 2014

Turbo Tax is very easy to use - I like that the "back" buttons have been added to the bottom of the pages so I can review/edit my entries without loosing my place in the program! Turbo Tax has made my tax time easier/quicker/less stressful. Darn it, I still have to pay in more money though!
What's great about it: Ease of use - quick response to inputs - I have confidence that it is accurate and complete

Fast and Easy

Excellent improvements over previous years Intuit has mastered TurboTax. I never liked paying someone to do my taxes for me, it was like an invasion of privacy answering all those questions to a real person. With Turbo Tax it is me and the software nobody else unless I needed additional help. With this software my 11 year old could do my taxes. AWESOME.
What's great about it: It walked me through completely
What's not so great: Having to locate the documents I was asked for, didn't have them all in one spot.

Great DIY Tax Product

This was my first time using Turbo Tax (Deluxe) and I found it to be very user-friendly. I plan to use it again for future income tax use. What made it easier and less stressful was having a copy of last year's taxes and other important income tax documents handy. It double checks your entries and even rates your possible risk for an audit. I highly recommend this product for anyone doing their own income taxes!
What's great about it: User-friendly with easy to understand guided-questions and good customer service/support.
What's not so great: None really. First time using the Deluxe version so it took me longer than I thought it would.

Good product

Been using Turbo Tax for the last 6 years...and will continue to use it. I like the idea of being able to save the file and go back and review/edit my return when I want to. Gives me time to make sure everything is included.
What's great about it: easy enough to use
What's not so great: some directions hard to fully comprehend
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

RMD's are not required on state pensions or annuities on which you get a monthly pay out, there is no place on the forms to differenate between these and others.
