Nice and Simple

This is an easy and fast way to take care of taxes. I have been a customer for 5 years now. I always come back to the same program, because it is convenient and fast.
What's great about it: Fast and Records information year after year
What's not so great: Your in charge!
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Disapointed

I've been using turbo-tax for more than 10 years but this year product did not meet my expectations.
1) there was not easy way to find where the IP Pin from the IRS needed to be added. Took me 3 tries before I was able to send my taxes with the required information.
There was no easy to follow state forms. I was only directed to the sections with errors after review. There was no way to see the forms to check for missing information unless there was an error with the form.
Too many issues with identity theft with this software product!
Very disappointing!

Great program for a person like me. Held my hand and walked me through each step of the process . . . advised me . . . looked for any errors . . . helped me get back more money than I ever would have if I had gone to a tax place!!! I have been using it for years now and I plan to keep on using it for years to come!

I paid extra for TT because it should store my info from last year but it was not found in your database. Very dissapointing and it cost me 5x the time. I could have done a free grogram online if I knew.

Easy to follow, easy to file

I like the import feature of my previous return (especially if from the previous year's TurboTax). Unless you have big changes from year-to-year, it practically fills out itself. I also import from my bank and brokerage account, so I know the amounts are correct. E-filing data from the previous year is remembered and makes filing even faster. I appreciate the password security on the return.
What's great about it: year-by-year comparison, use what you need
What's not so great: Helpful to have used Turbotax before

Stupendous as usual

I am a long time user of TurboTax and it never fails to deliver. I am definitely not an accountant so I appreciate how the program takes me through each line item step by step to ensure I take all the deductions to which I am entitled. If I do not qualify for a deduction, the program gives a clear explanation of why not.
Now if TurboTax would efile the state return for free, it would be perfect.
