Direction/instructions/more info is mostly excellent....BUT it is NOT user friendly for starting a new return for another filer!!! A simple tab for "start a new return for next filer." Better yet, once a return is completed, a pop up asking user if need to file a new return for another tax payer.
What's not so great: not user friendly on starting another return for my son

Ditch The Stress

I have used TT since 2005. I like the way the system is designed to bring up the previous year's data for a comparison to what I am entering for the current reporting year.
I can toggle back and forth between TT and Quicken to check information on deductions without having to print long reports to check deduction amounts.
I am at my own desk and I have the material I need at hand. I don't have to go outside my home to complete the process.
That is much more convenient than taking all the records you "think" you need and going out to a desk somewhere and having a stranger question you and then finding out you have to run home and get what you forgot you needed to file your return.
What's great about it: Fast, No Travel, Clear Instructions
What's not so great: State Return not Required - System Keeps Asking

It's SO Much better than doing it manually

Turbo tax incorporates changes in a logical manner while continuing to streamline the filing process every year. I am so much less irritated and daunted about doing my taxes than I was before this program came into my life (over 20 years ago).
What's great about it: Integrated forms, intuitive (get it?) format, easy to follow and even more importantly, easy to pause and resume.
What's not so great: It's still doing taxes, and doing taxes sucks

Super simple to use

I have been using the turbotax premium for years. It is super easy to use and it has step by step instructions. If you don't want to go through each step, you can pick the section you want to go to. It also loads your return from last year so you can compare the returns to make sure you didn't miss anything.
What's great about it: Easy to use, step b,y step instructions, seems very comprehensive
What's not so great: A little pricey compared to some of the free software online

Been using Turbo Tax for several years now and will continue to do so in the future
What's great about it: Simplfied questions, no need to be a tax wizard to get full amount
What's not so great: None with turbo tax, just all the tax laws

I have nothing bad to say about the Turbo tax products that I have used the past several years. I shudder to think that I once did all of this manually. The Federal tax system is a true swamp of complicated regulations, but Intuit bring the power of technology to bear, and in doing so makes it - if not a pleasure - at least a lot less time consuming.
What's great about it: Extremely easy
What's not so great: Still have to do my taxes
