I have been using Turbo Tax for years, and have used other tax programs in the past. Turbo Tax is the most complete and easiest I have ever used.

Easy as pie

I rely on Turbo Tax to accurately and quickly complete my Federal and State tax returns. If you are a homeowner with children and not a worldwide business entrepreneur, than there is no easier and safer way to get "tax season" over and done with.
What's great about it: Fast and simple

Makes an error-free return easy

Makes doing your own taxes simple...down to the filing. I used the desktop Deluxe version this year. I love being able to e-file, and I love that last year's data is automatically imported. The guidance through the EasySteps is great and I love being able to also modify directly on the forms, too. Access to help via the Q&A forum has helped me many times. Using TurboTax gives me confidence that my tax return has no errors.
What's great about it: simple to use, imports past data
What's not so great: Not all forms are available in online version

quick and relatively straight forward

on my 1099-HC the subscriber number is in box 6 not box 5.
I assume all W-2 forms are not exactly identical with respect to how the boxes are numbered. We had two W-2 forms and the information on one of them didn't match the software.
When I go to print the return at the end, the software brings up a nice window that allow you to save it as a PDF, or preview, or cancel. I think the cancel button should say Done instead.
there are a number of places through the program where you can get more explanation on the topic. not all of those explanations are written so a lay person can understand them.

State return for Michigan

State Return printing of copy to mail - Kept having to back up and redo. Not sure the final State print is correct as I remember previous years there were many special bar codes etc and fewer pages.
What's great about it: Almost completely done for me
What's not so great: Great difficulty in printing the State Return
