Its Deductible is a handy feature to have but it is very cumbersome to use if you donate a lot of different items to Salvation Army, etc. College Tuition & Expense Credit portion was unclear
What's great about it: Thorough
What's not so great: Some features cumbersome to use or unclear

I had inheritance and multiple state tax questions that I ended up going elsewhere to get answered. You scored a ZERO on making sure my taxes were filed correctly because of that.
What's not so great: Poor help with questions

Refund surprise

This year I had what I thought was going to be a more difficult time filing considering loss of income, IRA's and Medicare/social security and pension annuity issues. The way Turbo Tax walks you through everything made it so much easier than I anticipated and my refund was much more than I expected. Thanks Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: I LOVE TURBO TAX! I have been using it since 2004 with absolutely no issues.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using Turbo Tax for a number of years and each year the product gets easier to use. I love that it asks you questions to determine if you qualify for certain deductions, or reminds you to include info in the tax return.
What's great about it: Walks you through the entire return, both federal and state, allowing you to get every deduction and credit you can.
What's not so great: None this year, seemed easier than previous years

Review By Longtime (DOS Days) User

I begin using TurboTax back when it was purely a "text' based program that ran in MS-DOS akin to Lotus 1-2-3 back in the early 1980s. I loved it then and still do. I do have two minor suggestions.... about printing a file copies. When printing the State Return as a file copy, the program also prints the Federal Return ... the same as when printing a State Return to be mailed. I'd prefer that only the State Return in printed -- I already have a file copy of the Federal Return.

What's great about it: Every year it gets better... and better. Yes, and more inclusive or what some might call more complicated.
What's not so great: Printing "Save for File" copy of the return. I'd like to have option to prelselect the specific forms I want to print.
