Great software - been using it for years.

I've been using TurboTax for years. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to do their own taxes. Our situation is fairly straight forward and TurboTax Deluxe handled everything,
Only complaint this year is it did not flow well when e-filing the federal return and mailing the state. Years past it walked you through both. This year you had to go back and redo things. It could of been done a lot more intuitively. Won't stop me from using TurboTax again next year, but I hope they can clean it up again.
What's great about it: Easy. Walks you through everything.
What's not so great: This years release did not flow as well when e-filing the federal and mailing the state.

The more one uses Turbo Tax the easier it gets. The ability to look at prior years is a big plus.

Low Stress Tax Return

For people like me who have simple returns year after year it is great. We sold land a couple of years ago and it still stood up for us. You just line up the paperwork and input step by step. I believe the cost is less than I would pay for transporting all my papers to a preparer and paying them to do it. Since I put the information in I feel I have a better handle on what goes in the form and I can be confident I did not forgot anything.
What's great about it: Walked me right through and allowed me to back out and do it in two sitting!
What's not so great: No point of irritation.

would like to have multiple returns open so I can get the information for the 8615 for all kids. Better idea would be to enable linking.

Don't look forward to tax time, but was able to finish my taxes in one day (about 6-7 hours of work). Great ability to move through topics and screens quickly. Didn't really need to use a lot of help screens. Like being able to revise or update sections based on new or changed information. Ability to import prior years taxes is great advantage.
What's great about it: Step-by-step process; ability to review and revise separate sections as needed.
