I admit it- I'm a User. A TurboTax User. I've been using TurboTax now since the start of the new century - 15 years! I wish I had started before that! This is a great tax program for everyone.

Quick Easy and Painless

Been a Turbo Tax user for years now. My wife just asked about having our accountant complete the tax filings. I suggested that we would need to have more in refunds to pay the fees. That hasn't made much sense to me since I began using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Walk through of all sections
What's not so great: None that I can report

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years now and every year it gets a lot better. It is a great tool to due the taxes.
Its Deductible apps is also very good, even though it is very limited to items that you can select. but I understand it will be very difficult to include all possible items.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow and used
What's not so great: No clear explanations when doing multi-states returns

Everything was fine until it came time to file the taxes. I didn't remember my userid or my password or the security question and it was VERY frustrating getting that straightened out -- I wish I had never set up an account. Also I had to transmit several times before the forms were accepted. Maybe you could increase the timeout on Saturday mornings.
And picking an unused nickname that meets your requirements --- dumb.
What's great about it: It make sure I caught everything and is getting easier with experience.
What's not so great: Doesn't give me a chance to ask why certain things happend -- specifically why my state tax doubled this year.

The program recommended the use of "various" in the date block when giving to one charity was at various dates throughout the year. At the end in the "review" process, the program noted the use of "various" was no longer allowed requiring the return and editing of multiple entries.
