Easy, complete, fun

This program worked splendidly - helped me when I had questions but I was able to navigate to the sections I wanted without going through unnecessary forms. It was also great to be directed for the next year's taxes based on this year's balance due or amount refunded. It was actually fun to do my taxes with TurboTax. The amount due or refunded was updated with every entry so it was easy to know where I stood at any given point. Excellent program!
What's great about it: Easy navigating, questions quickly answered,
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to do if you follow the directions

If you don't have complicated returns to file and hate paying alot to have it done by someone else this is an excellent alternative.

INTUIT NOT VERY INTUITIVE

This program is not very friendly to "global" thinkers who need to see the big picture of what's happening, where they are, etc. You go into a section and have no idea how many questions will be asked and what forms are associated. But the "forms" section has them all, as I found out this year.
I began to fill out my newborn's info, until i realized it's only necessary if she was born in 2014. So I skipped the rest of it. At the end, it told me there is an error as her birthdate must be in 2014. Took me a while to figure out how to fix the issue - find the correct form and delete it in the "forms" section. This has happened with multiple cases.

Save Time Use Turbo Tax

The time you will save using Turbo Tax compared to doing it yourself is worth the 10x the price I paid.
I used to sit for hours doing my taxes. Add to this figuring out what forms I need and downloading them and the time goes ever higher. It took several sessions of me reading instructions and filling out forms to do my taxes manually. With Turbo Tax I finish in one sitting.
If you itemize charitable donations I highly recommend using Intuit's "It's Deductible" site. Spend a few minutes each time you make a donation throughout the year and Turbo tax imports it for you when you do your taxes. This save you from having to tabulate everything at the end of the year. It even allows you to add mileage driven to make donations.
This really is a great product.

So easy!

I wasn't going to use Turbo Tax this year when the Schedule D was going to be an extra charge. Changed my mind however when you changed your mind and included it in the Premium package. Excellent decision.

Not enough planning by the Turbo Tax staff. Nothing but problems this year. Have used this product for years and this year Intuit just blew it!

Had to install a patch because program couldn't connect to internet for updates. Once patch was in, I kept getting the error message--but it did the updates anyhow. Annoying.
