2014 Done

I was really not going to use Turbo Tax this year as the missing forms in Deluxe was a HUGH DISAPPOINTMENT. I am still not sure about the filing as I stepped thought it. Turbo Tax said the Deluxe Version was automatically updated after Feb 8th or there about to include all the forms from last year. I didn't see Schedule C and am hoping I didn't need it. RIght Now I am NOT a Happy Camper.
TIme will tell if I switch to a different Tax Program.
What's great about it: Easy Step by Step
What's not so great: 2014 left me with an uneasy feeling wondering if i didn't get all the forms

Making sense of ACA nonsense

Taxes got a whole lot more complicated this year, and next year promises to be even more, shall we say, interesting. TurboTax makes the minefield of IRS compliance far easier. The user interface improves with each year and help is always a click away.
What's great about it: Makes tax time less vexxing
What's not so great: ACA stinks but that's not Intuit's fault

Love doing my own taxes with TurboTax. Makes what seems like an impossible task a breeze. When completed, I feel smarter than I really am.

2014 Turbo Tax Review
on March 13, 2015

I have been using Turbo Tax since it's inception. They improve it every year and it keeps pace with the annual IRS changes. It's convienient to do the State Tax at the same time. This year it was a little harder to maneuver back & forth when I wanted to double check and edit. I don't think it's fair to eFile my Federal tax for free and then have to pay to eFile my sate taxes. They should both be free, so I mail that one in to save $20!
What's great about it: User friendly to a point;
What's not so great: Low maneuverability back & forth when you wish to review or edit
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Non - Intimidating Exercise

Been using Turbo Tax for many years. My comments never change. Ease of use, covers all the bases (that I use). Usually can finish in 2 days if all my forms are ready to go. Certainly worth the price. I am 81 years old so I have no children (at home).
What's great about it: Ease of use. Caught all the loose ends. Completed in 1 day.
What's not so great: Can't think of a thing.

Frustrating this year

To make sure the person ordering has the correct product, please don't name 2 products the same. 2 "Deluxe" products should not exist. 1 contained the state returns and 1 did not. I thought I was getting the one with a state return, but didn't. Then when I wanted to download the state form, I saw that you couldn't see a price before agreeing to download it. Make it clear which product is which.
What's great about it: Worked well on Fed Return
What's not so great: product names misleading
