Most of the time, I sped through the various categories. But, there were times when I needed some clarification and found no "Learn more" button to select. Other than that, it was a positive experience!
What's great about it: TT enabled me to whiz through my taxes again this year.
What's not so great: There are still some vague areas needing expansion.

This is my 17th year of relying on Turbo Tax to file my federal tax return. Obviously after all these years, I must be hooked on this software. When something works this well, there is no need to change to something else.
What's great about it: Easy to understand and easy to use!
What's not so great: What's not to like? I can think of no cons.

Quick and Easy

I'd heard about program changes for 2014, so relied on the packaging descriptions to choose the program that met my needs. I was confused, however, by the "Covers miscellaneous income and limited expenses" of the Deluxe version versus "Coverage and step-by-step guidance on stocks, bonds . . . and other investment income." Ultimately, I telephoned and talked to a TurboTax agent, who did some research and reassured me: yes, I needed the Deluxe version. Using the program turned out to be a breeze - especially since, due to experience from past years, I had my papers in order and input-ready.
What's great about it: I used the step-by-step process; made me feel secure about tackling taxes on my own.
What's not so great: My only con: info on the packing could be clearer.

User Unfriendly

In all the years I have enjoyed using Turbo Tax I have never found it to be so user unfriendly. The problems I encountered were too numerous to mention. Finally however I chose to file both Federal and California state returns by mail. You chose to ignore this and filed my Federal return electronically. This turned out to be so easy I decided to file my California State return electronically. Turbo Tax did not permit me to do this.

Easy Time Tax Preparation
on March 12, 2015

This is my 13th year with Turbo Tax. It's the best tax preparation system going. Simple to read and follow all instructions. Gather and catalogue all your inputs and it should take less than an hour to do Federal and State.
What's great about it: Easy to understand instructions, simple and logical format and procedure.
What's not so great: Can't think of any.
