Why I Love Turbo Tax

this program cuts my preparation time to such a manageable amount of time that I no longer am mentally trying to figure out which day and a half I can put aside. Probably cuts time by 75% Know when all info is input the figures will be right and after checking to make sure I have everything in right I know the totals will be correct. I file with confidence.
if I do not understand the directions given, there is always a helpful expansion of the direction to move you quickly forward.
One area of program I really like is being able to run specific oortions of the return for easy visual editing.
I sometimes get lost trying to find where, specifically, I can find the place in the return I am confused about

Turbo Tax review

This software is way too complicated for users that use standard deductions. There ought to be an option for using last years return and simply changing the input numbers, and not answer all of the dumb questions

Although the federal return want well, I had a lot of problems with Ohio state. It kept recycling for no apparent reason. I finally finished - don't know what T did to get past the glitch - but eventually it all worked out.
Would be a big help if your form lines correlated better with printed forms and explanation books. I had a hard time finding information in the instruction book to aid in establishing entries.
It helped when I went to Forms mode and looked things up - but just going through the program did not correlate with Instruction book entries.

What's great about it: Federal went VERY smoothly
What's not so great: Ohio state presented numerous challenges - eventually worked out

Making Software more International?

ID numbers for other countries' revenue structures ought to be possible - there must be millions of Americans getting pensions or investments from earlier places of residence. I again opted to send my tax forms by mail in order to attach Canadian records.
What's great about it: Thre are improvements allowing me to enter some data from Canada.
What's not so great: Software still will not accept Canadian (or British etc.) zip codes using letters and numbers.

Turbo Tax is Great!

I have just finished two friends' taxes for them because it is so easy. It transfers pertinent information from one year to the next so that you don't have to re-do all the information that stays the same. I have used Turbo Tax since 2003 and have never had any problems with it.
What's great about it: easy, talks you thru all the areas you need to complete.
What's not so great: none

Easy Peezy!

Great software that is easy to use even for someone not a computer geek. I feel it helps you get the correct refund.
What's great about it: Walks you through every deduction so you can't miss anything.
What's not so great: No dislikes.

I have used Turbo-Tax for the past 12 years, every year it is better and easier to use. Keep it coming. As long as there are taxes to be paid, I will be using Turbo-tax

What's not so great: wanted it to update ,more information from last years return
