What's great about it: Used for years. Love how simple.
What's not so great: Had problems downloading updates. Very slow. At times thought it was "stuck"

Saved my Bacon!

I've been using TurboTax for Several Years now. I get my taxed done so fast and easy. I've even tried the double checks, with some of the brick and mortar tax firms, but the only extra cash back they tell me about are deductions i have declined on TT.
What's great about it: Very easy, and pardon the pun... but very intuit-ive!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Costs too much not to include state

May try a different software next year. I have stuck with TurboTax for the transfer feature.
What's great about it: mostly easy to use, would like some more clarification on mileage deductions for business expenses
What's not so great: Software costs too much to not include at least 1 state efile

Everything is fine until I get to the e-file section and I keep getting the message that I am not connected to the Internet and I am connected!
What's great about it: Thorough - appreciate the detail re: all the forms.
What's not so great: Having trouble e-filing it.

Turbo Tax makes completing and filing taxes easy which is great as I hate doing my taxes

Maximized my refund

I found it very helpful and worked through the maze of Federal and State tax regulations and how they treat pensions and Social Security. The ease of entering the data and getting my actual returns calculated is amazing. Being able to e-file both my Federal and State made quick work of the process. I thought I had everything I needed but discovered three or four things I had to pull beyond my regular records. The best part is it only took me about 2 1/2 hours from putting the CD in the drive until the tax returns were e-filed. I have been using TurboTax for years and can't imagine doing it any other way.
What's great about it: Calculated complicated totals for pension & Social Security. Fantastic!
What's not so great: Have to print out all backup to determine how the tax was calculated.
