No Effort Tax Filing

Easy to follow instructions and explanations; deductions I didn't think of; fast and efficient.
What's great about it: Simple to follow directions including explanations when necessary
What's not so great: Nothing--that's why I spent the money to purchase

1099-Misc burden

the burden this year was tough--I have used turbo tax many times and never had a problem with my 1099-misc. This year It created the income as a business expense, requiring Sch C, SE & SE worksht...WHY???
Unless you can make it easier, I do not plan to use Turbo tax again.

Easier this year

Easy to manage the 2nd year. No good way to get help quickly for a question about misc income. Ended up having to go to IRS publications.
What's great about it: Easy imput of data from last year
What's not so great: Difficult to fund help asap

EASY BUT STILL ALITTLE CONFUSING

I HAVE A CHILD IN COLLEGE THAT WORKS FROM TIME TO TIME. SHOULD ASK MORE QUESTIONS ON OLDER KIDS IN COLLEGE. LIKE WHAT YOU SHOULD DO WITH THERE W2 FORMS AND SO ON AND SO FORTH. AND WHAT HAPPEN TO HEAD OF HOUSE HOLD??

Turbo Tax is easy to understand even for this senile old senior citizen! Love the ease of answering the questions to get the return done. Especially love that I got a great refund.

It is a great tool, BUT:
- Database is limited.
- It is no longer a part of TT, and it no longer has the flexibilities that it used to have. (i.e. being able to add elements that are not present in the DB).
