a few years back,Turbo tax would give an analysis of what you may want to do for next years taxes i.e .have more money taking out of your paycheck,exemptions etc.This was very helpful.You may want to do it again.That is one of the reasons I liked using Turbo tax.Overall a very helpful tool!Thanks!

what happened to last year's transfer

I've been using turbotax for years on this computer and for some reason all the information that I filed in 2013 is lost, which meant that no personal information was transferred. All previous info was still there and also the 2013 turbotax installed application but no data in that file, even though I had visited several times after filing it in 2014 and saw it all there. Now everything is gone except my printed file from 2013.
What's great about it: over all I got most of it
What's not so great: 2013 tax return did not transmit to 2014
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Yawn, Turbo Tax again, soooo easy, soooo boring

Used Turbo Tax for years, tried another product a couple years ago (saved $10), got extra grey hairs for my savings.
What's great about it: simple and easy
What's not so great: had to figure out pension elgibilty for PA

Great review - a satisfied customer

I would have liked to have taken advantage of my schedule k-1 from 1041 deduction. The 'help' section did not provide much help and the IRS site isn't much help either. What it boiled down to was I had a $2,823 deduction from my Aunt's estate that I thought I could claim for 2014. I'm thinking I had to multiply my AGI by 2% and subtract that amount from $2,823 to see if it left me with a positive nbr. I do believe it would have and that nbr would have been an additional deduction. Where to add it on my form I wouldn't have known. It would have been nice to see if it made a positive difference in my refund. If less than $100, I didn't see the need to press the issue.
What's great about it: Took care of 98% of my tax needs
What's not so great: Not enough info concerning schedule k-1 form 1041 deduction

Life Saver

Since myaccountant husband died, I have used Turbo Tax each year to file my taxes. If I can do this successfully, anyone can. The instructions are clear, explicit, and helpful. I absolutely rely on Turbo Tax.

Quick and Clean

I have filed with turbo tax for several years and have never had an issue. I like the fact that my prior tax information can be transferred. When more information is needed, the help information is thorough and I really like the expanded help option that is provided if more information is needed.
What's great about it: Fast, easy to understand

Can't efile

Good program until it came to efiling. Wouldn't allow it, which became very frustrating. I'll question whether to ever purchase this program again.

I wish it was more straight forward and up front about fees etc. I feel like I'm at a car dealership try to get you for add ons etc.
also when I'm trying to go back it doesn't seem to take me through the same steps as if I started it fresh sometimes and its hard to find the spot I want to work on.
