Easy Peasy

I use Turbo Tax every because it's easy and affordable. I have never had any issues with the IRS or the state. I would highly recommend Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy Peasy
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Poorly writen S/W compared to earlier years

1) I used a combination of forms and step-by step. I had to use every step of the Step-by-step review to get consistent results.
2) There was no explanation of the Smart tax worksheet and why line 4 was selected.
3) Tax and Interest WKS Line 1a(2) "list of available income", SS Benifit WKS Line 1 and Line 2 are already in the AGI.
4) I was not able to use a mixture of "its Deductable" and my own calculations for charitable deductions.
5) At the end, there was no comparison with the last few previous tax years.

Good overall but one consistant flaw

A good program with nice design, but TurboTax has never been able to import my It's Deductible file into the main program. So I end up having to manually enter data twice.
What's great about it: good program
What's not so great: has never imported It's Deductable info into TurboTax

Caution is advised

I have a concern that if one does not already know certain rules and processes, that some things may be done incorrectly by the program. For example, the Wisconsin property tax credit for certain veterans must be calculated on a worksheet. The Turbo Tax program did not ask me to complete the worksheet and simply transferred the amount from the Federal form which is not the correct amount. So as far as I am concerned, I do not have full faith that all is done correctly in Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Just fill in numbers
What's not so great: Had to do my own research on the Wisconsin rules and special calculations.
