this years turbo tax

I did not feel as comfortable as I have I past years with the package it seemed harder to follow, use, and understand than in the past. I also note some script errors on this package and have never seen them before.
What's great about it: I dont have to hire an accountant
What's not so great: this new years software is more difficult to follow, use and understand than previous years.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Family Time with TurboTax

I have educated 3 generations either doing their taxes start to finish with them, doing the same for their friends, and for my adult children.
Simple, easy to follow, could only be easier if we moved to a flat tax (A little out of Intuit's control!)
What's great about it: EASY
What's not so great: You have to pay your taxes

Another Banner year!!

I have been using Turbo Tax to do my taxes for over 10 years. Takes the stress of trying to figure out the taxes on my own and questioning if I'm getting it right.

A bit frustrating

I've used TurboTax for several years, and other software before that. I started my new return with import of a previous, and didn't happen to have one of my W2s from last year at my fingertips when I started. So I skipped that one to do the next one. Trying to get back to that first one, and really insisting that I didn't want it removed from my list of forms still didn't get it brought back up. I had to go hunt it down in forms to fill it out properly. I've not had this happen before. My guess is had I been patient enough to wait for it to check for errors it might've brought me back there, but it might've just asked me yet again if I wanted to delete it.
What's great about it: Easy enough, if you don't have to skip anything
What's not so great: just try to get back to a W2 you skipped without hunting out the form views

Skipped a year using Turbo Tax

Last year I resorted to a professional auditor because of a move in 2013 to a new state. I was hoping that Turbo would pick up my 2012 return info., which was done in Turbo Tax, and
enter that info. for me. Instead I had to input all of the common info by hand.

What's great about it: Was quite simple to do my taxes this way

How simple does it get!

I have used TurboTax for over seven years! The difference in my time vs. what TurboTax cost does not even compare. It use to take me weeks to accumulate all the information and a long weekend to enter data into the forms, calculate, recheck my calculations, then mail off my tax paperwork, etc....
Now, I enter the data and the calculations are done automatically. The Help section comes in handy when I have a questions regarding where an income should be entered or a deduction applied. The electronic filing is a breeze and my money arrives very quickly. I would not go back to the old way of doing things for all the tea in China!
