Quarterly payment issues

I owed $750 last year and owed $720 this year. TurboTax printed out quarterly coupons for me to use in 2015 amounting to $2700 for the 2015 tax year. There was no explanation as to why I should start making these large quarterly payments. Why didn't TurboTax print quarterly coupons when I owed $750 last year?

TurboTax 2014 - well done!

Excellently constructed program. The structure of the question format is generally easy to follow (tax terminology being somewhat arcane, but explanations for most provided), and the flow of information input was smooth and logical. Having entered all of my year's donations/charitable contributions into Intuit's online program "It's Deductible" really added some ease - all such data being input with a simple import (SO much easier than the end-of-the year scrounging around with donation receipts and having to input each entry now). I would certainly recommend this program to anyone wanting to do their own taxes. Really, the only thing missing was a cat video.
What's great about it: Well-constructed questions, clear page design, easy-to-follow flow, very complete. The final checks are reassuring.
What's not so great: Single glitch: a strange entry made by program on a worksheet that caused an error on the final check.

Easy as it could be!

Seems easier every year. I like that it finds your info from last year so there is a lot you don't have to enter. This program is not intimidating at all and you don't have to look around to figure out what you are supposed to do next. I would recommend it to anyone - everyone!

Taxes not so Tough!

2014 was a year of many changes. New job, refinance of my house, rollover of an annuity, kids in college; but TurboTax walked me through it all.
What's great about it: So easy to use
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
