Can't Print return

Leaves a bad taste after doing well in computing taxes.
This is a biggie for me!
What's great about it: Very thorough
What's not so great: Can Cannot print return in Microsoft Word. Have to pay to convert pdf file!

Fast and Easy

Turbo Tax Deluxe is easily understood by the average person, compares input from year to year, and provides a handy tool to estimate deductions. I've used other products and I always come back to this one. It makes tax time so much more tolerable and you don't have to schedule and overpay a tax consultant.
What's great about it: Instructional, effecient, provides a tool for estimating deductions

disappointed about state(MI) return

I could not get the disc to set up in my laptop, but a call to Turbo and great help from Jordan, soon got me up and running. The real problem was the state(MI) return. In MI there is a 3 tier taxation for pensioners. One for people born before 1946, one for people born in 1946 to 1948 and a third for those born 1948 to 1952. I first did my wife's return(born in 1947) and the system choose the correct formula for her. When I did my return(born in 1950) it applied my wife's formula but would not change for my different formula(and forms). The result was a difference in $1,096 that I would have had to pay. This same problem occurred last year! Unless you fix this problem I will go elsewhere for my tax return next year. I would appreciate a response.
What's great about it: I had difficulty installing but was helped a great deal(by Jordan) who was patient and thorough in his instructions.
What's not so great: The Michigan state return was totally incomplete, and would have cost me an extra $1,096.00.

I use Turbo Tax every year and find it very easy to use and helpful. I like the reports of how to maximize your refund and what to plan for your taxes for the next year. I like how it makes sure that you've entered in all tax documents you've received. That's exactly what I do when I'm going through my taxes. I make sure everything has been accounted for.
I'm also a user of your Quicken software for my home expenses . I don't like Quicken as much as Turbo Tax. But that discussion is for another time.
Thank you Turbo Tax for making this dreaded task easier!

State Return Issue

I live in a state that has no income tax, yet turbo tax kept asking about it even after telling me that I didn't need to do it. If I clicked on it because I kept getting asked, I would have ended up paying for software I didn't need. If the program knows which states do and do not require this, then it needs to stop asking once it has established that you do not meet any requirements for filing.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow, great to import last years data

Makes doing taxes doable.

We have used Turbo Tax Deluxe for many years. It makes the process of doing taxes much easier than the manual method, and is less expensive than one of the tax preparation companies. Relieves anxiety about making mistakes. The program handles the calculations and fills in all the proper spaces on the forms. The program makes doing taxes a very reasonable process.
What's great about it: Makes entering info easier. Eliminates having to understand all the ins and outs of the tax rules.
What's not so great: I still have to dig through my records for the needed info.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
