Take standard deduction

After digging up all of my deductions, I found that I wasn't qualified for itemized deductions. A little more upfront guidance could be used here.
What's great about it: Fairly easy
What's not so great: Should explain federal standard deduction up front

I ALWAYS FEEL CONFIDENT THAT TURBOTAX IS GIVING ME THE BEST RESULT FROM THE INFO THAT I SUPPLY IT WITH. IT ASKS ME QUESTIONS THAT ONLY A TAX PREPARER WOULD ASK. I HAVE 100% CONFIDENCE IN THIS PROGRAM.

This was my first attempt after 15 years with a paid preparer, and I was pleased to find the program easy to use. The steps were logical and made sense, and were in simple everyday language.
What's great about it: Prompted me each step of the way

Would not let me pay Federal Refund by Check
on February 21, 2015

I owed federal $700 and had a $1000 refund from State. I eFiled and Turbo Tax would only send me the $300 difference so I have to trust >them< to actually pay the Federal $700. I still had to print a payment voucher for Federal. This does not make me feel warm and fuzzy - especially since I hadalready entered a direct payment from my checking account for the $700. Is this going to cost me $1400 now??

if you make changes to your file and try to save as a different file name, it saves that information into both files, overwriting your original file. Really no need in your menu for a save as because it doesn't work.
What's great about it: stepped through categories with fairly good descriptions
What's not so great: File save process is terrible
