I thought e filing in the state of Wisconsin cost was to be 0 and advertised as such. So why did I have to enter my credit card information.
What's not so great: Advertised Free Wisconsin State filing and I was charged.

This is the first year that my wife and I filed jointly and I didn't know what to expect or the difficulty behind filing jointly but thanks to TurboTax, they made every step an easy one-by-one step walkthrough that ended up being an ease to filing.
What's great about it: The ability to easily update all previous information from last year
What's not so great: N/A
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Still a boring process

Most questions asked resolve "what to do?" concerns. Specifically however, some government originated periodic pensions payments are treated as if requiring RMD distributions which are not related. It requires entering replies as if they are proper RMD, to move on to the next general category.
What's great about it: Familiarity with Turbo over the years helps each subsequent session.
What's not so great: Moving back and forh is difficult,or not easily explained.

Excellent way to do taxes

I've used Turbotax for years and years, it is a great product. Especially once you've done it once and it can transfer all your data from past years. If you're lucky, you can import W2's and interest/dividend info directly from providers.
The only part I find difficult is in the state returns, where it's hard to know how to make adjustments for federal items that are/aren't taxed at the state level, especially tax-exempt interest (and making adjustment for dividends from your own state). I'm never quite sure I've done it right.
What's great about it: Overall, very easy to follow
What's not so great: State return adjustments not clear
