One More Year -- Still Satisfied
on February 21, 2015

When the steps are progressing, such as with income categories, the next item always appears at bottom, causing annoying scroll down -- which gets progressively worse and wastes more and more time.
Solution -- have the "next" arrow cue appear at top of listing. Even better, reverse listing so most recent category is on top of the pile, not the bottom.
Otherwise, still a super product and worth the money,

falling down on several fronts

Turbotax continues to frustrate-the nickel and diming continues as now the Deluxe version wouldn't officially handle my K-1-which had $2.53 cents of income on it.
In addition, I myself caught the fact the the program didn't recognize my HSA distributions as fully for medical expenses-I was 5 minutes from filing my return and caught it myself as I reviewed the form. (and the box in the intreview didn't appears to be checked at all one way or another!)..this would be a pretty nice check for the system to do...it's what I would expect.
What's great about it: step process/ targeted process/ easy download
What's not so great: no k-1 for simple item, didn't catch a 5,000 error

GK 2014 REVIEW

DOWNLOAD TOOK TO LONG. WHEN ASKED TO SHOW ME EVERYTHING IT STILL TOOK MY INTERVENTION TO LOOK AT EACH ITEM. ADDING TO TIME TO DO THINGS. WHEN I WAS ASKED FOR BROKERAGE INFORMATION THE PROGRAM DID NOT GO TO A BREAKDOWN OF THE BROKERAGE INFORMATION. EXAMP. BROKERAGE GAVE A CONSOLIDATED FORMS 1099 THEN GAVE INDIV ITEMS INTEREST OR DIVIDENDS. HAD I ENTERED ALL THE INFORMATION IT WOULD HAVE CALCULATED THE CONSOLIDATED TOTAL AND THE INDIVIDUAL TOTALS. I HAD TO GO BACK AND DELETE THE BROKERAGE CONSOLATED TOTAL. AGAIN ADDING TIME. ALSO WHEN I RECEIVED MY PROGRAM IT WAS FOR DELUXE FEDERAL AND STATE. WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY TO FILE THE STATE ELECTRONICALLY. THEN TO DO THIS ONE HAS TO ENTERE ACCOUNT NUMBERS AND CREDIT CARD NUMBERS ETC AND THAT AGAIN ADDS TO THE TOTAL TIME IT TOOK TO COMPLETE.
What's not so great: MUCH MORE COMBERSOM THAN LAST YEAR.

Makes it so easy, but used to be easier

I have been using TurboTax for years and years. This year, the s/w was a little sloppy in pulling in data from previous years, causing a few extra rounds of "errors" to correct. I'll still use it next year, though.
What's great about it: Confident everything was filled in correctly
What's not so great: Didn't copy over all my previous year's info correctly

Issue with 1099-R
on February 21, 2015

1099-R Box 13 and box 14 were blank from J.P. Morgan Clearing Corp., but turbo tax forced me to complete these 2 boxes.
Contacted J.P. Morgan Clearing Corp., they said they did not need to complete state information because they were a broker-dealer.
J.P Morgan did withhold money for state tax (box 12).
What's great about it: Relatively easy to complete.
What's not so great: Issue with 1099-R form
