It was clear to me that Turbo Tax was way ahead of me as I answered questions. Knowing that the program was designed to make factual decisions for us and direct us down the correct path had to have saved me time and agony. Next year we plan to have more of a challenging tax picture than we did this year. I'll be back!
What's great about it: Easy and comprehensive
What's not so great: None - remains to be seen.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Iowa return-would be helpful to have the line on the prior federal return for reference in regard to the question about the prior year's federal tax. I wasn't sure which amount they were asking for.
Had to call for assistance 3 times with questions, but they were answered.
What's great about it: Phone support, affordable compared to CPA
What's not so great: A few questions not clear

Over all, it is a good tax return software
What's great about it: The step by step walk thru
What's not so great: Turbo tax inported my W2. It imported the state tax incorrectly

I have always done my own tax return on paper. Getting used to a new system was an adjustment. There were questions I had never had to ask before, and I made some mistakes on the answers and had to figure out how to get back and correct them. I tried to envision what the program was doing in terms of how it would look on the final 1040 form, but it wasn't till I reached the very end and printed the return that I could really understand what was going on. Then I was perfectly satisfied, indeed delighted, by the result. That was the federal return. I have not yet filed the state return, because I am inclined to believe that Turbo Tax has missed some adjustments that I am entitled to. And I won't be able to tell for sure until I see the final completed return.
What's great about it: Liked the result
What's not so great: As first timer, had some trouble seeing where it was going

This has been a tough year for filing

After hours of trying to finish my return I finally went to the right persons and was walked thru a removal of all the program files all the way thru emailing in the return. For one of your people to walk an 81 year old thru the process takes stamina on the person helping me. I have been using TurboTax since long before windows (back in MS DOS) days. First time I had so much trouble. All other years were no problem years..

What's not so great: After years of using ttax I got a bad download in Dec 14.
