For the last 15 years, I have never been able to get Turbo Tax to transfer the prior years information. Also the charges for the state E-file should be automatic put in the TAX Prep as a cost that I paid. Lastly, the review wont let me put the name I WANT.
What's great about it: It is easy then others but need work.

Not as good as before

The product is always easy to enter information. The questions are to the point. We were confused as to which product to purchase. Deluxe is now too basic. Many of us have a small number of investments or may use the product to plan activities no longer a part of Deluxe. There has been an area, in the past, for planning for the next year. Due to retirement we may need to do estimated tax and the Deluxe product does not offer that planning tool as it has in the past. Not sure we will use Turbo Tax again next year unless we see more flexibility for different situations.
What's great about it: step by step process is easy
What's not so great: product change made the process confusing - keep deluxe as it was
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

i have used turbo tax for a while - love that it remembers all of my information and looks for ways to make the experience better. keep up the great work!

Disappointing issues

Attempted several times to send e-file return and received messages that it was unable to send.
Unfortunately had to amend tax return and was unable to send had to send hard copy
What's great about it: Easy walk through
What's not so great: Unable to send e-file due to software errors

Not sure why tax return did not go through on January 25, 2015, I has to submit my return again on February 19, 2015.
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: Had to do my taxes twice with this program.

Not complete when it comes to foreign accounts

When it comes to form 8938, the software is just poor. The guidance provided is just the one from the IRS, with no real additional information that could help, using a simple language, to know how to correctly declare foreign accounts/assets.
And why do I have to pay an additional fee to e-file a state return?
