Taxes Done in Less than 2 hours

I have been a TurboTax user for decades and I love the way it asks questions and guides me through each area. Because I am familiar with it, doing my taxes is painless and very quick. I also like the feature that shows you what each category was last year so that you can see quickly what might have changed. LOVE IT!
What's great about it: Quick and Easy
What's not so great: Confusion around which TurboTax to buy this year

You need the program to tell the person if you have completed the question correctly.
Keep in mind that your are working with a person that is over 71 years old and answers or slow to understand.

Easy!

The program covered everything, as a retired LEO ( Public Safety Officer), I thought I would have to force the medical plan payment deduction amount. The program prompted me to enter the figures, it was so easy.
What's great about it: I am able to walk through Income & deductions with ease
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Always good but always room for improvement

My major complaints this year are two:
1) During the completion process, all of a sudden Turbo tax said I had indicated a foreign 1099-DIV or something to that effect. I NEVER made that entry. None of my 1099-DIVs had a foreign address, name or ID number. Where this came from was a mystery;
2) Married couples should be able to select a button that says: "Try the alternative method of filing", i.e. if you're in the process of filing married jointly, then allow the return to be quickly recalculated as married filing singly, etc. It might need some adjustments, of course, but I would be willing to answer a couple of questions like "is this your of your spouse's whatever?" rather than having to re-do the entire filing just to see which way is the best for me.
