good but not great

For simple returns its easy, but for more complex returns with college age students & 1 parent collecting disability and one parent working it is a bit hard to understand
What's great about it: Easy to use , but some things are confusing
What's not so great: Not sure where I get help

Live in NJ, work in Philly, can't e-file state

Everything is great with Fed return, however living in NJ and working in Philadelphia makes it required that I still print out my return and mail it in. One of the biggest advantages of using Turbo-Tax is the ability to e-File. Being forced to print out my state return, put a stamp on it, and put it in the mail is inefficient and environmentally unsound as it is still a paper-based system.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: Still have to print out State return and mail it
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Personable

I found the step-by-step process fairly easy to follow. The interface was personable. When I had a question, I was usually able to find an answer through their help section. I got stuck when I tried to go to the step of choosing how to pay my state taxes: spinning wheel that never ended. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish with the online version and ended up having to download the application and finish that way. But I got good help from a phone rep for doing that.
What's great about it: Personable interview questions
What's not so great: Stuck at state payment step

1) It was easy, but there are additional fees AFTER YOU COMPLETE YOUR WORK!
2) I work in a different city than I live, so I pay additional taxes during the year to my city of residence.....did not see an adjustment in the process to account for that.

Trouble Free Taxes!

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and I love it. The program has gotten easier to use. Turbo Tax really has provided a way for the average "Jo" to successfully do their own taxes with confidence. Turbo Tax wants to help you get the best tax return possible! I will be using Turbo Tax for as long as the product is available.
What's great about it: Being guided through the process feels like I have my own personal tax pro helping me! Love the easy edit feature too!
What's not so great: If you need a form that isn't part of the program.

overall good. Could not change filing status as program decided 4 me. even this form does not allow widow chose!
