Great Experience

Overall, I had a wonderful experience with Inuti TurboTax. They gave me instructions on how to properly file my taxes, and helped me get a decent refund back.
What's great about it: Easy to use, gives step-bystep instructions
What's not so great: Only allows you to affordably submit one state return

Nonsense

Charitable contributions allowed the use of the term various when donations were made several times over the course of the year. Yet, when the final check of the return took place it told me I could not use various! Had to go back and correct everything! WASTE OF MY TIME!!!
What's great about it: most of the return was very easy but....
What's not so great: charitable contributions was screwed up!

Turbo Tax Delux

All in all it's a comparable tax software.
What's great about it: very easy to use
What's not so great: fees to file state
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

easy tax filing

I heard there were problems this year but I didn't experience them. I've been using turbotax for the last 5 years without any problems. Easy and quick and able to import data from my employer.
What's great about it: didn't take long -- much less expensive than going to a professional
What's not so great: I wish they'd offer free state filing
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Don't like change

I have always bought the Basic version of Turbo Tax. This year you had five or more versions, making it confusing to select the correct product. So I went with what I have always done and purchased the Basic version and found that it was not capable of fulfilling my tax needs. So I had to purchase the next one. I was very upset with this change. I know that you are trying to make money in this difficult economic environment, but I do not like to be the fool that doesn't understand the changes that you implemented.
What's great about it: Still works
What's not so great: Had to buy two versions before I got the right product

Great Tax Guide

I have been using Turbotax in preparing my income tax return annually for many many years because of its simplicity, guidance, and guarantee. Even when I was working overseas, Tutbotax was very helpful in figuring out all the expenses and exemptions that I was entitled to. As a retired person now, I feel more comfortable doing my income tax return with the Turbotax software. On the other hand, even though my experience with preparing the income tax return has been growing over the years, the calculations required by the new tax laws and their other mandates pose some difficulties in going through some areas of the return. In these situations, the advice I receive from the Turbotax program such as: "If you don't know the answer for this question, or if you are unsure about which option you choose, then do so and so." This is really very helpful. In the end, I would say to the Turbotax developers: Thank you, keep up this hard and excellent work.
What's great about it: Taking over the burden of calculations, great for people unfamiliar with tax laws.
What's not so great: I get stuck with questions I don't have answers for.
