My Turbotax problems

This year I had problems when I try to fill my return and when try to paid additional state tax, it is the first year that i had problems with this software.
What's great about it: It is an easy and good form to comply with my taxes.
What's not so great: This year it present problems with the online conexion

2014 Turbo Tax Review

I have used Turbo Tax software for several years and have had no problems. I'd recommend this software for anyone. It is easy to use and very comprehensive.
What's great about it: easy to follow

overall very good. if you want to e-file federal because you want your refund quickly but want to snail mail state because you owe. there doesnt seem to be a separation for printing.
What's great about it: turbo tax lets you know where you messed up
What's not so great: then takes you to the line on the form instead of the page wheyou need to change the answerre
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Improved over last year

Last year there seemed to be some incompatibility between the Federal and State with regard to evidence of health insurance. It was not clearly explained. This year was much better and the state populated correctly from the Federal. Last year, because of the error and because both had already been filed, I had to file manually with the state. Too involved to explain here, but it seems to be corrected (I hope) and seems like a much smoother operation. I was angry about the lack of help to resolve my problem last year. Hope it is better this year, but all went smoothly, so we're keeping our fingers crossed

Making filing easy

This method of filing tax returns gives peace of mind that I've included everything and that all is accurate.

I purchased the software cd but still had to pay to efile my state taxes. Why was I charged since paid for the software upfront?

Easy to Use Software; Update Process a Pain

I like using TurboTax -- it helps me to be organized and not forget things. The prior year comparison is very helpful. However, the auto-update feature fails every time and the Check for Solutions option does not work. Federal updates had to be downloaded through a manual process which did not include the state update. Fortunately once the federal update was finally done, the automatic state update finally worked.
What's great about it: Easy to Use; Good Performance; Thorough
